Job Summary
The Project Manager/Trainer will be responsible for advancing a person-centered system of care in Mississippi by providing training, consultation, and curriculum development to Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) providers. The individual will manage the day-to-day operations of the initiative and ensure training and coaching is consistent with the Person-Centered Planning philosophy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  1. Develop, coordinate, and deliver a defined curriculum focused on person-centered planning and systems of care.
  2. Design and implement Person-Centered Planning training with Medicaid Waiver programs and partner agencies.
  3. Assess general and specific training needs using adult learning theory principles.
  4. Contribute to the overall strategic planning and development of the Person-Centered Planning initiative and the Mississippi Training Institute.
  5. Provide regular coaching and onsite and virtual technical assistance support to providers involved in the Person-Centered Planning process.
  6. Develop ongoing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders through internal, state, and local work groups.
  7. Support the research/evaluation and policy components of the Person-Centered Practices Initiative.
  8. Coordinate state and local implementation meetings.
  9. Prepare technical assistance reports and devise quality improvement plans.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have one year of experience in training Person-Centered practices or working with Medicaid HCBS Medicaid waiver programs. Must be able to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary. Must have a valid driver’s license.  In addition to experience, the applicant must be licensed or certified in one of the following:
  • PCMHT or CMHT
  • PCIDDT or CIDDT
  • LPN or RN
  • LSW, LMSW or LCSW
  • PLPC or LPC
  • LMFTA or LMFT  
 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of Mississippi Medicaid Waiver programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Delivers engaging presentations and develops effective training materials, demonstrating exceptional oral communication skills.
  • Proficiently utilizes presentation software to create impactful and visually compelling materials.
  • Skilled in managing and facilitating online meetings across various platforms.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Demonstrates exceptional organization and time management skills, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Interacts effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes workload efficiently, managing multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Ensures accuracy and thoroughness in all work, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Completes assignments with precision and a strong focus on detail.

Preferred Qualifications
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a related field with at least two years of supervisory experience. Professional certification or training in Person-Centered Planning is preferred. Experience and working knowledge of Medicaid waiver programs.  Professional Licensure.
